Raymond Cloyd

Raymond is the state extension specialist in horticultural entomology and has an extension and research appointment at Kansas State University. His work involves pest management in greenhouses, nurseries, landscapes, turfgrass, conservatories, interiorscapes, Christmas trees, and vegetables and fruits. He has published nearly 900 scientific and/or trade articles related to pest management/plant protection. Books he has authored or co-authored include Greenhouse Pest ManagementPests and Diseases of Herbaceous PerennialsIPM for GardenersPlant Protection: Managing Greenhouse Insect and Mite Pests, and Compendium of Rose Diseases and Pests. Raymond frequently speaks nationally and internationally. Some of his many awards and honors include the American Society for Horticultural Sciences Outstanding Extension Educator Award 2012; 2011 Society of American Florists Alex Laurie Award for Research and Extension;and the  2010 Entomological Society of America North Central Branch Award of Excellence in Integrated Pest Management.
