Alison Peck Matrix Gardens
Alison has a bachelor’s degree in physics and chemistry and now holds a Permaculture Design Certificate and is a Certified Irrigation Auditor. She founded Matrix Gardens, a Landscape Design/Build company, in 1984, specializing in creating resource-conserving, productive, and inviting landscapes. Alison has been featured in articles in the New York Times, Sunset Magazine and Landscape Architecture, and her landscapes have won several ‘Excellence in Landscape’ awards from the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado. Alison received the ALCC 2008 ‘Person of the Year’ award for her work researching and promoting sustainable landscaping, and the 2007 Boulder Center for Resource Conservation ReWard for her water conservation work. She teaches Landscape Design and Sustainable Landscaping at Front Range Community College.
